THE INKWELL AWARDS are an all new, exciting award set up to celebrate the art of inking within the comic book industry.  The Inkwell awards are being established and overseen by a number of professionals from all aspects of the comic book industry, including such artists as founder Bob Almond (Black Panther, Annihilation: Conquest-Quasar, Warlock), Adam Hughes (Tomb Raider, Justice League, Wonder Woman and All Star Wonder Woman), Senior DC Editor Mike Marts (Uncanny X-Men, X-men, Wolverine, All Star Wonder Woman and more), Dave Simons (Ghost Rider, Army Of Darkness), Bill Shaw (Art Dealer), James Tournas (Full Moon Craze, Shylock, Epoch), along with Daniel Best (Andru & Esposito: Partners For Life).

The 2008 awards certainly created a lot of discussion amongst the comic book fraternity and it's expected that 2009 will be even bigger and better.  To that end we're offering a discounted rate for those who wish to remain with us until the 2009 awards kick in.  This isn't an off-season for the Inkwell Awards by any stretch of the imagination, with special features appearing on the site during the next few months, leading into the announcement of the 2009 awards.

The Inkwell awards will have a fully functional site, and advertising in the form of banners will be available.  There are two tiers of advertising: a banner on the front page of the site and a general links page.  There will be different costs for each tier.  Banner size is 275 X 110 pixels.

The rates for return advertisers are as follows:

FRONT PAGE BANNER

30 Days -   $25 (1 month)
90 Days -   $45 (3 months)
180 Days - $75 (6 months)

The rates for new advertisers are as follows:

90 Days -   $60 (3 months)
180 Days - $100 (6 months)
While supplies last anyone purchasing a banner spot for 6 months will receive three signed high quality art prints.  As an added incentive, for a limited time only, advertisers signing up for six months will receive an assortment of signed comics from the collection of Bob Almond with a face value of at least $50. Any banner ad will have a general link at no extra cost on the links page.  All banners will have unlimited views and will be non-rotating banners.  The optimum size for the banners will be 234x60 pixels.  Assistance with sizing the banners is available upon request.

$10 per three months.

The time frame for these ads and links will begin on the 15th day of every calendar month.  Payment is due by the first day of the month the Banner goes on.

The 2008 award generated interest from many on-line media and print outlets.  Committee members will be available to promote the award via various media outlets, web logs and web sites in the form of press releases and interviews.
